Corona Energy's Masquerade Ball

The Grove in Watford was the setting for our spectacular Venetian Ball and the 200 plus guests enjoyed an eventful evening!

Greeted by a costumed String Quartet, guests were offered champagne and even the opportunity to have their image captured by our caricaturist. With the weather being kind, the patio was soon full of people in a variety of Masquerade costumes and Black Tie.

Guests were called to dinner and entered over our Bridge into the Ball - passing

our human 'statues' and having their photographs taken as well. After a welcome by company Managing Director, guests began their evening meal.

At one point the head waiter inexplicably began to sign to the assembled audience - this apparently done for a bet! Not to be out-done the head wine waiter then took to the floor only to be followed by yet another singing waiter - was this an event out of control??? No it was of course the spectacular Three Waiters act and if you haven't used them before - we would highly recommend

that you do!

Not part of the overall act though was the Fire Alarm that sounded just as desserts were being served....it wasn't a rehearsal! With one of the kitchen ovens on fire, we were all evacuated outside leaving puddings melting and a surprise birthday cake alone on a stand. After some confusion, arrival of the local fire service, complete with blue flashing lights, good natured 'banter' and general merriment we were allowed to return to the Ball.

After a few more drinks - the winning of a holiday by one lucky staff member and the arrival on stage of the band - the fire incident was soon forgotten and people just danced the night away.

Our client was happy, our entertainers put on a great show and as for us......

well we look forward to planning the next event for Corona Energy.
