In true British style the road shows went ‘live’ at the height of the summer and a festival feel was created which not only allowed for a more relaxed delivery platform for such a crucial message, but it also allowed senior management and members of the hmv training department to Get Closer to the store managers and explain in detail the fundamental changes that are planned for hmv’s on-going re-invigoration.
Working in conjunction with the client we sourced venues, arranged the logistics and transportation of people and equipment and ensured that the Get Closer message was delivered in a creative and memorable way. Festival style catering was included to keep the continuity and theme for the programme and a number of hmv product suppliers were also on hand to talk about their latest offerings and to ensure that all staff were up to speed with new product.
Added technical support to the road show consisted of a mobile screen and p.a. system allowing both new product releases to be shown and further information from the earlier Brighton conference for those who may not have attended.
Starting in Scotland and travelling to Manchester, Birmingham and culminating with 4 dates in London the ‘Get Closer’ message was delivered to over 600 people.
Despite the trials and tribulations our crew experienced during set-up and break down because of the weather, the programme was delivered with good humour and the results and feed-back from those attending was very positive.
